This week, we are diving into Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech—not just as a famous speech, but as a powerful argumentative text.
Students are analyzing:
* Dr. King’s main arguments
* The counterarguments he addresses and challenges
* His use of symbolism to strengthen his message
By breaking down how words can inspire change, students are building critical thinking, close reading, and discussion skills that matter far beyond the classroom.
Mrs. Zielke is proud of the thoughtful conversations and deep analysis happening every day!
